Vironix Announces New Advisors

We are pleased to announce that we have added several new advisors who bring expertise in medicine, research, technology, and business.

Soundar Kumara is the Director of the Center for Applications of AI and ML to Industry at Penn State’s Institute of Computational and Data Science. He is the Allen, E., and Allen, M., Pearce Professor of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at Penn State. Dr. Kumara has published extensively as an AI and ML researcher in manufacturing and healthcare. He has nearly 300 publications with over 14,000 citations. His specialties include complex networks, real-time decentralized logistics, blockchains, and healthcare analytics.

Kapil Kwatra, MD, is a highly-regarded, board-certified internist and leads the Medical Associates of Warren in Ohio. Dr. Kwatra has over 40 years of medical experience. He completed his residency at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia where he did extensive research in electrophysiology. He is affiliated with Mercy Health, Trumbull Regional Medical Center, Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital and Select Specialty LTACH. He is Chairman of Medicine at Trumbull Regional Medical Center, and serves as the Medical Director for Expand Health at Home. 

Clarkston Morgan is an expert in business development and community engagement for municipalities, corporations, and organizations. He has served Michigan communities as a City Commissioner, a Planning Commissioner, and an Arts Commissioner. 

Balubhai Patel, MD, is a nephrologist and internist with Triangle Nephrology and Internal Medicine in Cary, North Carolina, and is affiliated with Wakemed University. With over 40 years of medical experience, he specializes in the treatment of chronic kidney disease, acute glomerulonephritis, kidney cancer, nephrotic syndrome, and acute renal failure.

Kavitha Subramanian, MD, is a board-certified internist and a Clinical Assistant Professor, Hospitalist at Stanford Health Care. She is recognized for her research and academic achievements at Stanford University and the University of California San Diego School of Medicine. Dr. Subramanian is a co-author of several publications, most recently the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology. 

Ryan Swenson is a health sciences information scientist and informatics advisor. He has over two decades of experience consistently delivering scientific impact advancing research objectives across the healthcare and life sciences industry in a variety of leadership roles and data entrepreneurships. Swenson also has extensive information management expertise supporting diverse functions, including discovery, preclinical manufacturing & process development, clinical operations and clinical data science, biometrics, patient safety, medical affairs, and regulatory affairs for pharmaceutical and contract manufacturing organizations around the globe.
